Particulate emissions, dispersion, and mitigation for neighbor harmony
About
Community-minded tester who deploys low-cost sensors to map PM2.5, VOCs, and odor at property lines. I design startup and shutdown routines that protect sensitive lungs without killing the vibe.
Core Beliefs
Cleaner air is the most generous form of hospitality.
Background
My first dispersion test used two low-cost sensors and a box fan to trace smoke leaving a courtyard. The curve told the story: small tweaks to fuel load and start-up kindling dropped PM2.5 dramatically. A neighbor with asthma emailed later: 'Whatever you changed, keep it. I could breathe.'
Perspective
I minimize emissions and odor spread even if it reduces peak flame aesthetics.
